Start with the essentials
Compare the permissions an app requests with what you need it to do. A basic expense list should not require unrelated access. Browser tools are not automatically private: read the policy and check whether information stays on your device.
What you can do
- Choose a short set of categories that you can update consistently.
- Review export, backup and deletion options before entering sensitive details.
- Avoid recording full account numbers, PINs or passwords in an expense tracker.
